Backstory on Crystal Bowersox

As, I was roaming around the Official AI website tonight (I took a 3 hour nap at 4pm so I'm up for awhile...alas) I was told to google Farmers Daughter Crystal Bowersox to see her perform a song she wrote. Which is a good song. Which led me to her myspace page...which a blog on it...which hasn't been updated for awhile. It turns out, she has a pretty good sob story herself, besides having a baby. She has juvenile diabetes and is dealing with it with an insulin pump. She has also been active in fundraising for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Certainly preferable to scamming kids.
